Abekah H. Cedric Koffi, MPhil Graduate

Abekah H. C. Koffi is an AIMS-Ghana alumnus who is using mathematics to tackle problems related to credit risk in the micro-finance sector. During his curriculum at the institution, he took on the role of class representative, hence acting as liaise between AIMS administration and students.

After completing his Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics (major) and Statistics (minor) from the University of Ghana (2016), he did his national service as a teaching assistant at the same university, and then went on to do his Master’s (2018) and MPhil (2019) at AIMS-Ghana and its research center (Ghana) respectively. He’s part of the Stochastic and Finance group led by Prof. Olivier M. Pamen and plans to extend his MPhil research work into a PhD.

He is also motivated to give back to his community and has been involved in many outreach activities. Other interesting things to mention about him is that he is articulate in both French and English and a Data Science enthusiast.
