The African Institute for Mathematical Sciences Ghana, in partnership with the Government of Ghana organised the second mathematics workshop for basic school teachers in the Upper West Regional capital, Wa. A total of fifty teachers from Wa West district participated in the intensive workshop from 23rd to 27th November 2015.

Renowned trainers from AIMS guided the teachers in using simple approaches to teaching topics including fractions, word problem, factorisation, and computer based mathematics through creative and engaging teaching methods.

The workshop in Wa follows a very successful pilot workshop in Donkokrom, in the Eastern Region.
