Bernard Oduoku Bainson is a passionate mathematics educator, and researcher. His mathematical expertise is shaped by his knowledge in algebra, topology, category theory and semigroup theory and their applications. He is currently affiliated with the Department of Mathematics at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology and continues to serve as a visiting lecturer, research supervisor, and an examiner at the African Institute for Mathematical Sciences, Ghana. Dr. Bainson completed his undergraduate studies in mathematics at University of Cape Coast, Ghana, obtained an MSc in Mathematical Sciences from KNUST in collaboration with the African Institute for Mathematical Sciences, Ghana, and later pursued doctoral studies in Algebra at Heriot-Watt University.
Beyond mathematics research and teaching, Bernard Oduoku Bainson is recognized for his commitment to mathematics outreach, teacher development, and mentoring students across different educational levels. He has contributed to workshops, seminars, mathematics camps, and other educational initiatives aimed at improving mathematics teaching and learning in Africa.
