Fadekemi Janet Osaye

Janet graduated in 2008 with a bachelor’s degree in Industrial Mathematics from the Federal University of Technology, Akure, Nigeria. Subsequently, she enrolled in a Masters program at the same university, in Mathematical Sciences, with a specialization in Fluid Mechanics. After, she joined the Taught Masters Program with AIMS and graduated in 2013.

Her present research field is in graph theory and network science, which provides one of the fastest growing methods for modelling problems in artificial intelligence and data science. Developing countries require the use of technology in solving many of their challenges. Her present position is to help impact a young generation of African mathematicians and problem solvers through mentorship programs. Additionally, she believes AIMS alumni can benefit greatly if there exists a collaboration between AIMS-NEI and the US-Africa collaborative research network in Mathematical Sciences (MASAMU)
