The African Institute for Mathematical Sciences (AIMS) Ghana, and the University of Sussex, UK, is organizing a workshop on “Analyzing Public Procurement Data for Corruption Risks” from 3rd to 4th May, 2018 at AIMS campus, Biriwa, Central Region.
Under the leadership of Dr Liz David-Barrett, University of Sussex, and supported by the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation and the German Ministry of Education and Research; the workshop will provide the platform for Mathematicians, Political Scientists and Civil Society Activists, to explore the potential of tools on the datasets of the World Bank-funded contracts in over one hundred countries.
Distinguished Lecturers and Facilitators from prestigious universities and organizations in Europe and Ghana such as the University of Sussex and AIMS will be assisting Fifty-five researchers from ten African countries who will be participating in the workshop to analyze data.
.The workshop is part of a major research project funded by the British Academy and the Department for International Development (DFID), as part of its Anti-Corruption Evidence Program in curbing corruption in public procurement.
