The Centre will hold an Industry-Academia Forum on the 24th of June 2022, aimed at helping alumni to transition from the academic study of Mathematical Sciences to its application in industry.
This event is part of AIMS Ghana’s 10th Anniversary activities and will take place at the Google office in Accra, themed, “Building Africa’s transformative leaders for the 4th industrial revolution: The role of mathematics and its applications.”
The event will be a platform to:
a. Demonstrate the impact of mathematics and its applications in various sectors.
b. Discuss the use of mathematical models in effective decision-making in various industries.
c. Discuss the role of universities in training mathematics graduates that are fit for the job market.
d. Discuss the need for Research and Development units in various industries for product evolution.
e. Showcase the success stories of AIMS Ghana alumni in academia, industry and entrepreneurship.
This event will also create an avenue for Alumni currently living in Ghana to connect and celebrate each other’s success.
