The African Institute for Mathematical Sciences (AIMS) Ghana has launched a nationwide recruitment drive to attract talented graduates into its Regular Master’s in Mathematical Sciences and Cooperative Education (CO-OP) Master’s Programmes. As part of this initiative, a series of information sessions will be held at the University of Ghana, Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), and the University of Cape Coast (UCC).
These sessions are designed to provide prospective applicants with detailed insights into the programmes, including admission requirements, academic structure, and career opportunities. Representatives from AIMS Ghana will engage directly with students, answer questions, and offer guidance on the application process.
The recruitment campaign targets final-year students and graduates in the sciences, engineering, and related fields with a strong mathematical background. Participants are encouraged to attend the sessions prepared with questions about programme expectations, funding opportunities, and pathways into research and industry.
The AIMS Regular Master’s Programme offers an intensive, highly interactive academic experience, while the CO-OP Master’s Programme combines academic training with industry placements, equipping students with practical skills for the workforce.
Through this outreach, AIMS Ghana aims to identify and nurture the next generation of African scientists, innovators, and problem-solvers. The initiative reflects the institution’s commitment to expanding access to advanced education in the mathematical sciences and empowering young Africans to contribute meaningfully to the continent’s development.
