Speaker: Prof. Marc Sedjro (German Research Chair, AIMS South Africa)
Abstract: In this talk, we introduce several models of the so-called forward-forward Mean-Field Games (MFGs). The forward-forward models arise in the study of numerical schemes to approximate stationary MFGs. We establish a link between these models and a class of hyperbolic conservation laws. Furthermore, we investigate the existence of solutions and examine long-time limit properties.Joint work with Diogo Gomes and Levon Nurbekyan.
Short biography of Speaker:
Marc Sedjro is the German Research Chair for Applied Mathematics with a specialization in Partial Differential Equations and Calculus of Variations at AIMS South Africa. He completed his Ph.D. in Mathematics at the Georgia Institute of Technology in 2012. After that, he spent a few years as a Postdoctoral fellow at RWTH- Aachen and at KAUST. He is interested in problems arising in Mean-Field Games and in Fluid Mechanics.

We kindly urge all participants to mute themselves and turn off their cameras when they join the meeting.
NB: Presentations are 50 minutes long after which the speaker would respond to questions from participants. Participants can ask their questions by any or a combination of the following:
1. By typing their questions in the chatbox.
2. By writing “I have a question(s)” in the chat box.3. Raising hands by clicking on the raise hand symbol.
The coordinator would then read out the questions to the presenter or ask the participant to ask his/her question(s).
