Charlene Asiedu holds a Master’s Degree in International Affairs (Relations) from the Legon Centre for International Affairs and Diplomacy – LECIAD, University of Ghana (UG). Her undergraduate background is in liberal arts; including communications in language studies where she was awarded a year-abroad scholarship by UG, to increase Arabic language proficiency at Ain Shams University – Egypt.
Prior to joining AIMS, Charlene worked as a Teaching Assistant at UG and interned briefly with several institutions including the African Regent Hotel, Ghana Oil Company- GOIL and Ghana’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration (MFARI) building her capacity in communication skills. Charlene is a member of the communications committee of the Global Shapers Community (Accra Hub) which is a youth wing of the World Economic Forum (WEF).
Building knowledge in science communication, she handles content creation surrounding activities at the AIMS Ghana Centre, website and social media management, graphic and event venue design coordination, report writing as well as press engagement with mainstream media.
