Abdulmajid Osumanu is the Knowledge and Technology Transfer Scientist at AIMS Ghana, Lead Scientist for InnovAIMS, and an alumnus of the institute. He holds a PhD in Applied Mathematics from the University of Waterloo and completed a postdoctoral research fellowship in data science at Quantum Leap Africa, Kigali, Rwanda. His research interests span quantum gravity, quantum computing, and condensed matter physics. Beyond academia, he has industry experience as research data analyst at Canadian Tire Corporation, giving him a strong applied perspective. He brings a broad blend of academic and industry expertise to his role, supporting researchers in translating ideas into practical products, services, and solutions that address challenges across Africa. Abdulmajid also leads the Transition Program at AIMS Ghana, where he provides structured training, mentorship and career support to graduates, helping them transition into professional roles, research careers, and entrepreneurial pathways across academia and industry.
