Joel Bamfo-Appiah, an alumnus of AIMS Ghana, where he earned his MSc in Mathematical Sciences in 2020, has been an integral part of the AIMS team since 2021. As the Alumni Relations Officer for the AIMS Network from 2021 to 2023, Joel played a pivotal role in spearheading various key initiatives. He successfully organized annual alumni gatherings in Rwanda, Senegal, Ghana, and Nigeria. Joel’s remarkable efforts in the #AlumoftheWeek initiative significantly amplified the global visibility of AIMS alumni.
Before his tenure at AIMS, Joel dedicated his skills to Lead for Ghana as a fellow, where he was instrumental in delivering quality education and fostering opportunities in underserved communities of northern Ghana. His exceptional leadership and commitment in this role earned him recognition as the Overall Best Fellow Leader, a testament to his accountability and directional prowess.
Holding a bachelor’s degree in Statistics from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Joel’s passion for ensuring accessible, quality education is the driving force behind his professional journey. His blend of academic excellence and pragmatic leadership continues to contribute immensely to the educational landscape.
