AIMS Ghana and CENDLOS Sign MOU

On the 7th of December 2022, AIMS Ghana and the Center for National Distance Learning and Open Schooling (CENDLOS), recognizing the importance of mathematics and computing education, signed an MOU to focus on building the capacities of Junior and Senior High School (SHS) Students in Ghana.

The purpose of the collaboration is to create a framework through which AIMS Ghana and CENDLOS can partner on a number of outreach and student-development activities.

Based on dynamic and effective cooperation between the two parties, the project is to be implemented under a comprehensive programme on Education in Mathematics and Computing (EMC). This will include the development of content in Mathematics and Computing for a courseware to be used in both the online training of teachers as well the teaching of Senior and Junior High school students.

AIMS Ghana’s Centre President Dr. Prince K. Osei and the COO, Ms. Adelaide Asante were both hosted in a meeting with the CEO for CENDLOS, Mr. Nana Gyamfi Adwabour, during which the agreement was concluded on.

One of the first activities AIMS Ghana and CENDLOS will be collaborating on is the Helping Teachers Teach Mathematics Conference, scheduled for the 10th – 12th of January 2023.
