Maalvladedon Ganet Some is originally from Burkina Faso. He pursued his undergraduate studies at the University of Ghana where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics. Afterwards, he was admitted at the mathematics department of the same institution as a teaching assistant and subsequently as a graduate assistant.
Some’s quest to deepen his understanding of mathematics and its applications led him to apply to AIMS Ghana and was awarded a Master of Science in Mathematical Sciences. Subsequently, he enrolled for a research master at the university of Ghana.
Currently, Some is a part-time tutor at AIMS Ghana and a PhD candidate in the stochastic and finance research group led by Prof. Olivier Menoukeu Pamen. His research interests include stochastic optimal control, backward stochastic differential equations (BSDEs) and risk measures.
