Nissrin is a postdoctoral researcher in the Thurley Group at the University Hospital Bonn, Germany, working in the field of mathematical biology. Her academic interests centre on understanding biological processes and diseases mechanistically, as well as uncovering the patterns underlying these processes through the use and development of diverse mathematical modelling tools, including statistical analysis, and deterministic and stochastic approaches.
Currently, her research focuses on modelling the complex dynamical interplay between cancer and immune cells within the tumour microenvironment using deterministic modelling integrated with response-time modelling.
In her free time, she enjoys powerlifting, spending time in nature, exploring new places, and reading.
